Konner Finney Tech Consulting Client Portal

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

This policy explains what information the Konner Finney Tech Consulting client portal (portal.konnerfinney.com) collects, why, and what I do with it. The portal is a private site for my clients and the people they invite. It does not cover my public website, which has its own policy at www.konnerfinney.com/privacy.

In short: I collect only what I need to run the portal and do the work you hired me for. I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising.

1. Information I collect

  • Your account: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture.
  • Sign-in records: when you sign in and the session that keeps you signed in. My sign-in provider may also record your IP address and browser for security.
  • Your business information: details you or I add, such as your hours, phone number, service area, services, licenses and your Google Business Profile listing.
  • Files you upload: photos and other files you send through the portal.
  • People you invite: the email address of each person you invite to your team.
  • Activity: a record of changes made in the portal (for example, who updated your hours and when), so we both have a clear history.
  • Website inquiry counts: how many inquiries your website received. The portal stores counts only, not your customers' names or messages.
  • Billing summary: your plan, payment dates and payment method type. Card payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.

2. Signing in with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and whether your email is verified. I use this only to sign you in, confirm you were invited, and show your name in the portal.

The portal does not ask for access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data. The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

3. How I use your information

  • To run the portal and show you your deliverables, deadlines, reports and documents.
  • To do the work in your service agreement, such as updating your website and Google listing.
  • To send you account emails, such as sign-in links, invites and reminders about things that need your attention.
  • To keep the portal secure and to keep each client's information separate from every other client's.
  • To meet legal and accounting requirements.

4. Who I share it with

I share information only with the services that run the portal, and only what each one needs:

  • Vercel: hosts the portal and stores uploaded files.
  • Neon: stores the portal's database and handles sign-in.
  • Google: handles "Continue with Google" sign-in.
  • Stripe: processes card payments.
  • An email delivery service: sends sign-in links, invites and reminders.

I may also share information if the law requires it. I do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

5. Cookies

The portal uses a cookie to keep you signed in and to remember display settings such as text size. It does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

6. How long I keep it

I keep your information while you are a client. When your service ends, you keep access to your documents for a period of time so you can download them. After that, I delete portal information I no longer need, except signed agreements and billing records, which I keep for my business and tax records. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.

7. How I protect it

The portal is invite-only. Information is encrypted in transit, and the database itself enforces that each client can see only their own company's information. Only I have administrator access. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think your account has been used by someone else, tell me right away.

8. Your choices

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted. Email me and I will respond within 30 days. Business owners can remove team members from the Staff page at any time.

9. Children

The portal is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used, I will tell account owners by email first.
